What this call funds
This call funds innovation projects that develop bio-based films and coatings to make packaging more sustainable and circular, replacing conventional fossil-based plastics. Projects should demonstrate these materials working in real packaging prototypes, test their performance and end-of-life recyclability, and involve end users to check market acceptance. Two projects are expected to share a large budget, focused on both food and non-food packaging applications.
