What this call funds
This call funds research and demonstration projects that use biotechnology-based methods, like microbes and enzymes, to recycle complex plastic products such as multi-layer packaging, construction materials, and composites used in renewable energy and transport. Projects should test their solutions at pilot scale with real industry partners across the value chain, and provide evidence on environmental, economic, and social benefits. The goal is to make more plastic products recyclable into high-value materials and help create a circular economy for plastics in Europe.
