    What this call funds

This call funds construction works to green maritime transport: installing onshore power supply and battery charging systems for ships in TEN-T ports, and fitting or retrofitting engines on ferries, short sea shipping vessels and inland waterway vessels with cleaner propulsion like electric, hybrid, hydrogen, ammonia, methanol or biomethane. It also supports related grid upgrades, on-site renewable energy generation and battery storage as smaller add-on elements. The goal is to cut emissions from shipping and ports across the EU's core transport network.
