    What this call funds

This call funds actual construction and deployment work for cross-border energy infrastructure projects already recognised as Projects of Common Interest or Mutual Interest, covering electricity, gas, smart grids, hydrogen and CO2 networks. It supports projects that help integrate Europe's energy market, enable decarbonisation, and improve security of supply, especially where the market alone won't finance them. Funding targets the build-out phase (purchase, installation, construction, commissioning) rather than early studies.

renewable energy · hydrogen · smart grids · energy storage · carbon capture · energy efficiency

    Who wins this

This call suits energy infrastructure project promoters implementing a designated cross-border PCI or PMI (electricity, gas, smart grid, hydrogen or CO2 project) that lacks sufficient market financing and can demonstrate significant positive externalities.
