Electricity, Gas, Smart Grids, Hydrogen and CO₂ networks - Studies
CEF 2 Energy - Projects of Common and Mutual Interest 2026 · CEF-PJG
What this call funds
This call funds studies (feasibility, mapping, technical, financial preparation work) that help prepare the actual construction of cross-border energy infrastructure projects, specifically electricity, gas, smart grid, hydrogen and CO2 network projects already recognised as Projects of Common Interest or Projects of Mutual Interest. It does not fund construction itself, just the preparatory work needed to get such projects ready for implementation and financing.
smart grids · hydrogen · energy storage · renewable energy · energy efficiency · carbon capture
Who wins this
This suits project promoters (typically transmission system operators or infrastructure developers) working on an officially listed PCI or PMI energy infrastructure project who need funding for feasibility, technical or financial preparatory studies.
