    What this call funds

This call funds research to better understand why insect populations are collapsing (down roughly 75% in three decades) and to develop practical ways to reverse this decline. Projects should study lesser-known insect groups, map their diversity and status using genomic and taxonomic tools, identify the causes behind the decline, and test strategies to protect and restore insect habitats. The goal is to give policymakers and land managers the knowledge and tools they need to protect insects and the ecosystem services they provide.
