Improving biomass flows for a sustainable and circular bioeconomy
Call 01 - single stage (2027) · HORIZON-IA · TRL 6–8 · Needs partners
What this call funds
This call funds projects that turn biomass waste—like food loss, food waste, and agricultural or industrial residues—into valuable products in a sustainable, circular way. It supports building business models, marketplaces, and platforms that connect biomass suppliers with users, and developing tools and technology to make collecting, processing, and tracking bio-waste more efficient. The goal is to cut greenhouse gas emissions and pollution from landfilling and incineration while creating economic and social benefits for communities and municipalities.

Who wins this
This call best suits a multi-actor consortium including industry, local/regional authorities, and research institutions working together to build biomass valorisation platforms and business models, especially in underserved regions like Central and Eastern Europe.
