What this call funds
This call funds research projects that develop better ways to separate and purify materials in biorefineries, which turn biomass into chemicals, fuels and other products. It wants technologies that are cheaper, use greener solvents, cut energy and water use, and can be tested on real industrial-scale biorefinery processes. The goal is to remove a major bottleneck that currently limits commercial scale-up of bio-based products.
