    What this call funds

This call funds large-scale projects that help fully implement national or regional nature conservation and restoration plans, such as EU habitat protection frameworks or national restoration plans. Instead of doing all the conservation work itself, the project should act as a catalyst - building capacity among authorities, coordinating stakeholders, and mobilising extra funding (ideally from other EU sources) to complete the plan over time. Projects can also include direct conservation actions and work to fix policies that undermine the plan.

biodiversity · climate adaptation · environmental monitoring · regional development

    Who wins this

Public nature and biodiversity authorities or organisations working closely with them that want to drive the full implementation of a national or regional conservation/restoration plan through capacity building, stakeholder coordination, and funding mobilisation.
