High-end endo-atmospheric interception
Development actions implemented through actual cost grants (accelerated call) · EDF-DA · TRL 6+
What this call funds
This call funds the next stage of developing an interceptor system that can shoot down hypersonic and ballistic missiles within the atmosphere. It pays for building and testing demonstrators of key parts like the airframe, propulsion, separation mechanisms, warhead effectiveness, and threat-tracking sensors, pushing the technology up to a mature, tested level. Only one project will be funded from this large budget, and it is managed by a defence procurement organisation on behalf of the EU.
