What this call funds
This call funds development of next-generation self-protection systems for aircraft (both fixed-wing and rotary-wing, combat and non-combat) to increase their survivability against direct and indirect threats. It covers design, prototyping, testing and qualification of modular systems that can detect and classify threats, coordinate countermeasures automatically, and work with other platforms while protecting sensitive data. The goal is a system built on open architecture and international standards that can operate in complex hostile environments.
