What this call funds
This call funds research projects that push forward biotech and biomanufacturing innovations - like gene editing, synthetic biology, and microbiome engineering - to create sustainable, bio-based products and processes. Projects should combine these biological advances with digital tools such as AI, and connect with nature-based solutions for environmental benefit. The goal is to move promising technologies closer to real-world use while cutting emissions and boosting Europe's industrial competitiveness in the bioeconomy.
