What this call funds
This call funds research projects that turn compounds from marine organisms like algae, fungi and invertebrates into safe, sustainable bio-based products such as adhesives, coatings, biosensors and replacements for hazardous chemicals. Projects should take these discoveries from research through to a working proof of concept, while assessing costs, safety and environmental impact compared to conventional products, and considering ethical and legal aspects of accessing marine resources. Two projects will be funded with a combined budget of 10 million euros.
